Why we started
Eterra started from a simple frustration: off-the-shelf terrarium furniture rarely fits the space it's meant for, and rarely looks like it belongs in a home. Reptile keepers were left choosing between flimsy flat-pack enclosures or expensive one-off custom joinery with long lead times and no way to see the result before it was built. We set out to close that gap — real wood-and-glass cabinetry, configured online, built to order.
What we stand for
Professionalism. Every cabinet is built from tempered glass, anodized aluminum hardware and moisture-resistant panels — the same standards we'd expect for our own animals. Dimensions, glass thickness and door hardware are specified precisely, not approximated.
Ingenuity. The configurator behind every order exists because we didn't want to limit customers to a handful of fixed sizes. Split compartments, mixed storage placement, and a full range of finishes exist so the cabinet fits your room and your animals — not the other way around.
Our history
First builds, by hand
Eterra began building one-off terrarium cabinets for local reptile keepers, refining the sliding-door and drawer-band construction that's still at the core of every cabinet today.
The online designer
To move beyond a handful of fixed sizes, we built a configurator that lets customers lay out terrariums, splits and storage themselves, and see the result before ordering.
